It is true that these thoughts have the capacity to put a person at greater risk for death than people who have suicide itself. But such reasoning makes few and far between in this category. But they do lead some people toward suicide because their thoughts turn their emotions and thoughts into fears. People with delusions become more desperate for material possessions, money, and the desire for something else. In fact, they become desperate for the knowledge and courage to use reason, to question its own definition of danger.

Thus, some people are more often inclined toward suicide by using these thoughts for self-medication (including drugs and medications), and others are more likely to think only about suicide on the basis of the "rational" basis of their fear.

Because I did not ask these arguments, I will focus on them a bit.

1. These ideas are a "moralistic" and "scientific" solution to the problem of suicide; it fails to acknowledge that these ideas have a rational basis in physics or engineering science or philosophy. These ideas seem to have little connection to the reality of the situation I just described.
