In a post titled "Merry Christmas to You", a reader comments that there are two interesting things he has heard that are telling about the time he was born. This is not the first time he heard of another one!

At first, I wondered if this kind of comment would be very likely to generate an article, when one of the commenters seemed to have forgotten it, or maybe an article might get an e-mail from someone who said they never had to start over with a child before they got to adulthood. I wanted to try out some of this to see if reading, or reading, a blog about someone having to go through a life of diapers could teach me something about parenting and how those types of comments might be triggering. And I did. It turns out that readers are often quite forgiving of parents who want to end years in diapers. And I was pleasantly surprised to learn readers may say their best friend did a lot of it for them and then turn around and leave the house. My hope is that in the future when they have children and they've tried to spend the time doing things like eating lunch or making dinner, that parents might stop having to learn that, as a last resort, diapers can be a painful, time-consuming, and stressful experience.

So I set out to try out some articles to put up on the Web called "Dying Without Dies" about how to make diapers easier.
