rest peacefully quotes a verse in Psalm 118:5, the first chapter of the Bible (1Co2:5). In the verse, the narrator says that God's people would stand in a state of eternal warfare, if they could bring back a holy king for seven centuries, and that those rulers would not allow one another to rule over them.

"Let the Christians and the Romans see that they are living a new age, and to live that they have come into the new age of liberty, that there will be one God among them, one prophet to judge them about what lies after them." Matthew 7:27.

But let us not forget, God's people would never allow any of them to rule over another in such a way. Indeed, they would only allow it in a state of conflict with the existing government.

We can see that the Christians, when they came to Jesus, knew the prophecy of Isaiah 3:13 and they spoke it freely. "In the coming days, when the days are over, they shall see that there will be one God among them, that they may live a new age, one prophet to judge them about what lies after them."

But this is all wrong in the light of other prophetic statements of the Scripture. One might argue that in the first place, many of those on the receiving end of such prophecies have forgotten that their expectations may not be fulfilled in the future.
